1950s "JACQUES ADNET" Floor Lamp
No makers mark, however we’re quietly and confidently attributing the lamp to Jacques Adnet.
Encapsulating the whole sculptural “Paris Art” movement of the post war era with it’s formed elements of black & brass. The lamp typifies both its period & origin whilst introducing a certain stark reality. This model, often displayed without shade to emphasise that flavour, could be softened with use of a simple wax paper or stitched vellum shade.
On this occasion, it’s all about the find. From there, it’s entirely up to you, where and how you choose to display your latest boast.
Structurally sound, with all aspects working as they should. Being sold in as found condition. With an untouched original & honest presentation. A touch dusty, general light scuffing along with a little surface rust, particularly to the arch of the legs.
